Lynfield Community Church is a welcoming community that endeavours to care and support others. We are a multicultural Church of all ages.
Our ethnic diversity includes Pakeha, Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, Korean, Samoan, Ethiopian, African and others
We Belong to: The Anglican Diocese of Auckland & Auckland Methodist Synod
Lynfield Community Church is an inter-denominational congregation established in 1968 by the Anglican and Methodists on behalf of other denominations which include Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian, Associated Church of Christ and Congregational. The two denominations provided the initial buildings including the church house, and historically they have alternated in supply of ministers.
We are unique and Bible-focused inter-denominational congregation with a strong sense of identity. Many of our members do not have a strong affiliation to a particular denomination and any who do, accept that some of the ways the Church is run will be different from what would have happened in a single denomination Church. Our emphasis is on the essentials of the Gospel. LCC is a place of healing, genuine love and friendship. While a close knit family-centred church, we are reaching out to people of all groupings and ages, 0 to 99+, thus babes and children, teens & single adults, married couples, small & large families, grandparents & great-grandparents.
The congregation increasingly reflects the face of Auckland. We are a multi-cultural church with an ethnic diversity which includes ‘Pakeha’, Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, Samoan, Africans, and others. All have a place at LCC no matter their age, gender or ethnicity
Being a Church member
Being a Christ follower makes you part of the Church. At Lynfield Community Church, we support an individual’s faith in Christ and their commitment to following Him regardless of their background.
We encourage individuals, families and our local community to join our fellowship and to respond to their calling to the great Commission. We believe all members are equal, are able to hear the voice of God, and can contribute to the Church Ministry.
Why should you be part of us?
- We are partners in God’s Kingdom and one of the major themes of the Bible is commitment and there is no better way to commit to the Great Commission than becoming a member of a church
- We are committed to supporting individuals and families in strengthening their Christ followership
- We see membership as a form of making a commitment and we believe that successful people are just ordinary people who make commitments that others are not willing to make
- Your membership is key to the growth of the Christian community
